Screen Shot 2018-04-06 at 2.55.10 PM

This week MGM Resorts International announced the release of UNIVERSAL LOVE, a collection of reimagined wedding songs for the LGBTQ community, celebrating the enduring and overwhelming power of love and music to unite.

UNIVERSAL LOVE offers six newly recorded versions of iconic love songs that give same-sex couples a soundtrack for their own love stories and feature pronouns changed to reflect the world of LGBTQ relationships.

The album includes boundary-changing songs from some of today’s most-beloved artists. Bob Dylan, one of the most influential and successful recording artists in American history, is among the visionary artists participating in this unprecedented project. Dylan re-recorded “She’s Funny That Way” as “He’s Funny That Way.” The album features five additional stellar artists whose involvement is a testament to the urgency of equality in entertainment: Kesha (“I Need a Woman to Love Me”), St. Vincent (“And Then She Kissed Me”), Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie (“And I Love Him”), Kele Okereke of Bloc Party (“My Guy”), and Valerie June (“Mad About The Girl”).

The compilation album was produced by MGM Resorts in conjunction with global advertising agency McCann and will be distributed by Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music. UNIVERSAL LOVE is currently available on all streaming platforms.

The LV Lights FC are just into their inaugural season in the USL (United Soccer League) and their mascot is quite the hit. Cash the Soccer Rocker was unveiled before their home opener and is already a fan favorite in the USL.

He recently went on a tour of Las Vegas, making stops at the training field, Plaza Hotel & Casino, Slotzilla Zipline in downtown and the Welcome to Vegas sign. Our very own, J.Son caught up with Cash at the Welcome sign and you can watch the fun on the video here.

The Knights are GOLDEN!

Hockey in the desert won’t work, they said. A Vegas team would be in last place, they said. You’ll have trouble filling seats in Vegas, they said. The Golden Knights will not make the playoffs, thats a fact, they said…

VGK playoffs

Well they were wrong. Hockey works in the desert, Vegas has topped their division all season, the seats are full and the Golden Knights made the Stanley Cup Playoffs in their first season.

The team has shined bright in the city of lights, ranking atop the entire NHL for parts of the season and reigning over the Pacific Division. Head Coach Gerard Gallant reached his 200th win as coach with this team. William Karlsson scored only 6 goals in 2016-17, now with Vegas he has set an NHL season goal scoring record with 40 goals so far. This team appears to have the recipe for success. Heading in to the playoffs, we will see just how GOLDEN these KNIGHTS are!
